  10. What is DragNDrop Names
  11. -----------------------
  12. DragNDrop Names is an enhancement to the Names application that
  13. makes adding new names easier. Just drag text onto the Names
  14. window to instantly add new names to your Names soup!

  17. What's new in DragNDrop Names 1.2?
  18. ----------------------------------
  19. When DragNDrop Names creates a new card, it displays the card
  20. for further editing.

  23. What's new in DragNDrop Names 1.1?

  25. If you prefix the first line with "Co:", DragNDrop Names will
  26. create a company card instead of the usual person card.

  31. Any Newton running Newt OS 2.x and 3K of storage space.

  34. Installation
  35. ------------
  36. Installation is simple. Install AlarmClock using Newton Backup Utility(tm)
  37. or any other package downloading utilities.

  40. Usage
  41. -----
  42. To add new names via DragNDrop Names into the Names soup, you simply drag
  43. text onto the Names application. The text must be of the following
  44. format:

  46.     
  47.     REQUIRED: <FIRST NAME> <LAST NAME> (separated by a space)
  48. or    REQUIRED: Co: <COMPANY NAME> (if you want to create a new company card)
  49.     
  50.     OPTIONAL: <PHONE NUMBER> or <EMAIL ADDRESS>
  51.     OPTIONAL: <PHONE NUMBER 2> or <EMAIL ADDRESS 2>

  53.         ...

  55.     OPTIONAL: <PHONE NUMBER X> or <EMAIL ADDRESS X>
  56.     OPTIONAL: <ADDRESS>
  57.     OPTIONAL: <CITY>, <STATE> <REGION>

  59. You can order any number of phone numbers or email address. Email addresses
  60. must have the '@' symbol and phone numbers should be of the format:

  62.     (xxx) xxx-xxxx or xxx-xxxx
  63.     
  64. so as long as they have parentheses or a '-' in the line.
  65.  
  66. NOTE: Addresses should not have the '-' in them or parentheses for them
  67. to be properly noted as address lines.

  69. After dragging text onto Names, DragNDrop Names will automatically create
  70. a new name to add into your Names soup!
